Mandatory Graduation Practice

All seniors that plan to march at graduation must attend the mandatory graduation practice. Seniors should park in the Vistors' parking lot at the LHS Stadium.

Parents and guests should arrive by 7:00 p.m.
Seniors should be at the stadium by 6:15 p.m.
 
Parking is limited and shuttles will be provided from Lancaster High School to the stadium.       2012 Graduation Parking.pdf 
In the event of rain, graduation ceremony will be held in the LHS gymnasium. Seating is limited and no one (from infants to adults) will be admitted without a ticket.
 
 
 
Graduation Pictures 
 
Pictures will be taken of each graduate as he/she walks across the stage.  To view and/or order pictures, go to the website: http://www.lifetouchevents.com and enter the password: LHSBRUINS.  The password is case sensitive.

Checks Written to Schools

All checks written to Lancaster High School  must include a phone number and drivers license number on the check. If this information is not printed on the check, it must be written on the check prior to submission to Lancaster High.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
 
Instructions: 2011-2012 PARENT PORTAL 


PowerSchool Parent Portal is now available at Lancaster High School. Updates to Parent Portal require that ALL users must CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. Access codes from last year for grades 10, 11, and 12 can be used to setup the new account. Ninth graders and all new users must visit the Lancaster High School Guidance Office to obtain a UserID and password for your student. A government issued picture ID is required for verification of identity when UserIDs and passwords are issued. End of Course Test & HSAP Test Practice
 
 
 
LHS is providing free access for all LHS students to an online program that will help students review for End of Course tests in English I, Algebra I, Physical Science, Biology and U. S. History. Software is also provided to assist students in reviewing for the HSAP test that all students in SC must pass to graduate.

2011-2012 Palmetto Silver Awards
Lancaster High School is the recipient of two South Carolina Department of Education Palmetto Silver Awards. LHS received awards for both general achievement and for closing the achievement gap.  The awards program is designed to recognize and reward schools that attain high levels of absolute academic performance and schools that attain high rates of improvement.
Soccer Teams Recognized for Excellence

The Lancaster High boys and girls soccer teams received national recognition for their academic success during last school year — only 61 schools across the nation received honors for both their boys and girls teams. The average GPA for the Lancaster High girls team was 4.4, and the average GPA for the boys team was 3.4.

International Club of the Year

Jr. Civitans

At the International Convention in Birmingham, AL, the LHS Jr. Civitan Club was named International Club of the Year, won Environmental Project of the Year and Ongoing Campaign of the Year. Brandon Craig was selected as Junior Civitan of the Year and Richie Harper was selected as Club Officer of the Year. The club also was awarded third place Campus Project of the Year and Honor Club of Distinction.

Free Sports Physicals
  • Free until May 31, 2012. After May 31, each physical will cost $35.00
  • An appointment is required for the physical. Please contact Mackey Family Practice at 803-285-7414 to schedule student’s appointment.   
  • Obtain a physical form from the main office. The student or parent should bring their “completed” physical form to the appointment.

After the doctor completes his part of the form, it is the student’s responsibility to bring the completed form to the Lancaster High School main office.

Effective July 1, 2011 SCDMV will charge a fee for South Carolina driver manuals and commercial driver license (CDL) manuals. The manuals will be sold for $5.00 each plus sales tax. The manual can be accessed for free download and print at www.scdmvonline.com
